Effects of DIRFloortime¢ç Therapy on Self-regulation, Functional Emotional Developmental Level and Resilience of Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of DIRFloortime¢ç therapy on self-regulation, functional emotional development, and resilience of children with high-functioning autism spectrum disorders.
Six children with a high-functioning autism spectrum disorders were selected as subjects; they were treated with DIRFloortime¢ç treatment mediation program. With a quasi-experiment design, one group did pre and post-experiment design through the z verification on the significance level of .05. Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Signed Ranks Test was used as data analysis.
There was a statistically significant difference (p<.05) between the self - regulation and the resilience functions after the program. Quality of social interaction and communication were clinically improved as well in functional emotional developmental capacities.
DIRFloortime¢ç therapy was effective in improving self-regulation, functional emotional development, and resilience of children with autism spectrum disorders.
